I was supposed to work this past weekend, but that ended up not happening. Last week I wasn't feeling the greatest and some people at my work were sick. Friday I had off since I was going to be working the weekend shift and I had an interview that day ( I am quitting my job and will work somewhere else in a couple weeks). I ended up being sick most the day, but felt ok enough to go out at night.

so last night we made spagetti with turkey meatballs, but for the sauce we used "emeril's kicked up sauce". i personally am not a huge fan of canned spagetti sauces, but i must recommend this one, it was awesome.and for dessert we grinded up choc. chips, popped some popcorn and mixed it all together, it made for a perfect snack while we watched "lost" on the couch.

So the past few weeks have been pretty crazy at my work. The only other full time kennel tech has been on vacation for two weeks so i have been working all by myself. Last weekend was insane. Being labor day weekend, everyone went out of town and dropped their dogs off at the kennel. I must have registered at least thirty dogs plus i had to do all the normal day to day routine. I was exhausted!!

This month of August has been a lot of fun for me, definitely happy moments, but some very sad ones too. A couple of weeks ago my brother and sister in law (matt and amanda) came to stay with us for a week. We had such a great time, and i really enjoyed getting to know them better. black caps 1 Originally uploaded by notoriousjon. so we have been looking for some black hub caps for the scion but have had no luck finding any. so i decided to invest in some spray paint and convert the silver caps into black caps. i used a good quality plastic paint so it should last a while. $15 and a little sanding and effort later and wha-la black hub caps...we like it.

so on about the 28th of july there was a beautiful thunder and lightning showcase here in the cary, nc area. me and bekah killed all of the lights and opened the blinds on the huge window in our living room. our dogs grabbed a front row seat on the pillows by the window, and the four of us listened and watched the flashes outside of our apartment window. the next morning i couldn't get online..

Well bekah and i finally did it. we had been thinking about getting a scion xb for about six months now. thanks to the kia being just about out of warrenty, and not knowing what to expect with it after it was up, we went ahead and traded it in. this is the first brand new car either of us have ever gotten, so needless to say we are pretty excited about it.

Whoohah...we got our new mac mini in today! I am so excited. we're back in NC after a long/short/fun/exhausting/enjoyable trip to the west coast. we had a great time at the san diego zoo with my brother and his wife even though it was cloudy and cold. all i have to say is that the churros were amazing, and the corvette diner...awesome. we then went to yuma, az and i found that the best thing there is still chili pepper even thought they have a new mall.

so we flew in to pheonix, az on thursday, and it was nice and cloudy. needless to say, we didnt quite get the sunset we were hoping for. friday it went ahead and downpoured all day, but we were able to do plenty of 4-wheeling/mudbogging...it was a good time. saturday we left early to drive to ventura california and we had rain almost the entire drive. we were able to see a ton of my family

well it is currently 10:37pm and we haven't finished packing for our trip to AZ yet. we are getting a ride to the airport from one of my co-workers who is an opener at cracker barrel, and we have to meet her at 4:50am. thats right we have 6 hours and 13 min. so basically we aren't getting much sleep tonight, but who cares? we are on vacation!
