snow way!

all week we heard the hype on the news "big winter storm heading for raleigh area this weekend" two to four inches they said. bekah and myself were truly excited. we wanted our puppies to be able to play in a nice couple inches of snow. friday night we fall asleep dreaming of awaking to a beautiful white glowing landscape out of our back window. and when we awoke...nothing just gray skies. wait the storm is moving a little slower then expected there is still a chance. and then it started raining. cold rain mixed with a bit of sleet equals puppies not playing in snow. it was sad.

where did it go?

is it just me or did this weekend go by way to fast? maybe it was all that hoping for snow, and only getting a little rain. maybe it was watching football with bekah all suunday afternoon. maybe it was that concert on saturday night that went until one in the morning. hmmm, maybe the weekend didn't go by quite as fast as i thought!

carbon leaf

last night bekah and i went to a concert and saw a band called carbon leaf. if you like that irish rock type of sound you should deffinitly check them out. ( www.carbonleaf.com ) we went with some friends of ours (mark & nancy), and we all had a gay ol' time. but the more we go to concerts and see people who look way younger then we are, the older and older we feel. i guess it had to happen sometime!

the kind of little/big snow storm

the date was january 19th, the place raleigh, nc. about one half (and yes i said one half) to maybe an inch of snow fell from the hours of 1130am until 130pm. so our great city decides to let kids out of school, and businesses decide to send people home from work and everyone in raleigh (even the 98% of which have no clue how to drive in snow) decides to hit the roads, and leave no room for the salt trucks. long story short over 1000 reported accidents, over 3000 kids have to spend the night at school, and by my estimates over 2.3 billion cars are out and about/stuck in traffic. thankfully bekah and myself (thanks to our amazing driving skills) were able to make it home safely, but it did take a couple of hours, rather then 10 min. i heard stories of people being in traffic for 10 hours to get home...needless to say at was a crazy/funny/frustrating day in raleigh.

its been a little while

so its been a while since i've posted anything on here, but i really wanted to be able to get some pictures on the blog. however, our current pc doesn't seem to have the "skills" needed to take pics from off of my camera, and put them somewhere more useful..like say for instance..the computer. so until we get a new computer, no pics. hopefully around tax return time.

ok here's a brief update of the past couple of months.
nov. ~went to the in-laws for some turkey and R&R
dec. ~went to the in-laws for more food and more R&R, and some sweet christmas gifts.
new years eve. ~saw a movie
currently. ~working, and bekah is feeling slightly sick

our two puppies are doing well, and love to fight, and poop on our carpet(they own our place)

we will be going to AZ/CA for a trip in early feb. to see my family, and a friends wedding.

lastly my sister just got engaged.
