home again

we're back in NC after a long/short/fun/exhausting/enjoyable trip to the west coast. we had a great time at the san diego zoo with my brother and his wife even though it was cloudy and cold. all i have to say is that the churros were amazing, and the corvette diner...awesome. we then went to yuma, az and i found that the best thing there is still chili pepper even thought they have a new mall. it was great to see my parents and sister though, and i enjoyed meeting jimmy, my sisters main squeeze. then it was back to ryan's place in phoenix, for a day and then to the airport.

it was good to get home though. back to our own bed, back to our puppies, back to work. bekah is sick, probably from all the rain on the cold wet coast, and i'm feeling a little drained myself. i miss people already. my family and friends. its tough being around people that you have been missing, and then out of nowhere be missing them again. but at least we got to see them. i miss having friends around.

lastly, today is my dad's birthday, so if you see this, happy birthday. my dad is awesome, he has been a great example to me in so many ways. i love him tons.

so much for the sunny west coast

so we flew in to pheonix, az on thursday, and it was nice and cloudy. needless to say, we didnt quite get the sunset we were hoping for. friday it went ahead and downpoured all day, but we were able to do plenty of 4-wheeling/mudbogging...it was a good time. saturday we left early to drive to ventura california and we had rain almost the entire drive. we were able to see a ton of my family yesterday so that was nice. we are currently in san diego and it looks like we my get our first sunny day of the trip, which will be nice because we are going to the world famous san diego zoo today. so far its been a really fun trip. we'll try to get some photos up when we get home, after we get our new computer of course. catch ya later

so much for a good night sleep

well it is currently 10:37pm and we haven't finished packing for our trip to AZ yet. we are getting a ride to the airport from one of my co-workers who is an opener at cracker barrel, and we have to meet her at 4:50am. thats right we have 6 hours and 13 min. so basically we aren't getting much sleep tonight, but who cares? we are on vacation!

sunny days

this past weekend and today have been such awesome weather. low 60's and totally sunny, not kinda sunny...totally. its been so nice to open the car windows, and the windows here at the apartment and just let in some fresh air. (especially when you live with two stinky puppies) we were able to take some walks with the pups and take them to this big open field where they can just run free. our neighbor was out there with his dog too, and the three of them ran around like a pack of dogs...which is what they were. then they disappeared into the woods and when they reemerged they were all muddy and wet, needless to say it was i stinky ride home in the car.

anyhow, we are blessed. some of our friends have been on our hearts lately...if you know who you are, we are praying for you...and we love you. you need our prayers, and we need yours. lets not just forget about each other. i personally have been doing a lot of soul searching, and i am realizing how badly i need to grow...i need to mature...and i want to, but im not. its tough sometimes, but thats all part of growing...not growing.

well...this is our new computer from apple.com. the new mac mini, it should be here in 3-4 weeks and it should be awesome.
